Bio

Traveling the roads and trails of Upstate South Carolina after spending 30 years (and three frames) in Colorado. Age-group triathlete, member of University of Colorado at Boulder national championship triathlon club in 2000, with a personal best of 6:05 at Buffalo Springs Half-Ironman. Took second in Master's Clydesdale Colorado State Mountain Bike Championship in summer of 2008, just before moving to SC. Greatest moment on bike: Riding into Tropical Storm Rick (40mph winds, blinding sheeting rain, 3:30am in the morning) outside of College Station, TX as part of the Palmetto Peloton Project's CHALLENGE TO CONQUER CANCER bicycle relay from Greenville, SC to Austin, TX to raise awareness and money for cancer research and treatment. We donated over $200,000 last year. RideSTRONG, LiveSTRONG!

    Route left Greenville toward Chattanooga to pick up the Natchez Trace for 400 miles into Louisiana at the Mississippi River crossing.  Continued west into Texas, arrived in Austin after approximately 1450 miles and 55 hours.
