20 miles

We had a nice short ride and met up with our friend Eric in Santa Cruz. He let five dirty cyclists invade his pad — bikes, gear and all! We lounged around, did our laundry, and even watched some TV! That evening, Eric took us out for Mexican food on the pier. We had a great time and got lots of rest, sleeping in between sheets for the first time in a while. Eric got a taste of our lifestyle by sleeping on the balcony in his sleeping bag. What a generous host! Thanks again, Eric.
