We started the day with a nice breakfast and coffee with Eric in Santa Cruz.

He rode along with us for almost 10 miles before saying goodbye. Soon after, the wind joined us. Nick’s infamous goggles went missing, so he devised a new system.

It was a really long day and we still had no reprieve from the wind when we got to the campsite. We had a delicious dinner of yakisoba made with local produce from a stand we passed on the road, and then went to bed.
