We were excited to get to San Francisco, but we first had to conquer our steepest hills yet. The hill into Daly City was the kicker!

Getting to San Francisco was our first major milestone. We felt a sense of accomplishment in getting there. It was also time to say goodbye to Jamal. He will be missed.

Nick and Mai-yan were hosted by their friends Tom and Dara. Thanks for a great time, dinner, and the turndown service! We hope they join us in August in Quebec.

Aimee and Kismat stayed with Jamal at his brother Sami’s house. Sami was nice enough to host two total strangers — thanks again! For dinner, we met up with our friend Justin and Kismat’s cousin Rohit and his friend Laura. We had amazing Burmese food!
