On a tip from another cyclist, we stopped at a wonderful little bakery in Tomales. We feasted on warm vanilla bread pudding, poppy seed danishes, pesto and gorgonzola bread sticks, and a sticky bun. If we didn’t have to ride on, we would have never stopped eating. It was that good!

Our camping plans didn’t quite pan out, so we ended up without a place to stay in Jenner. We went to plan B — pirate camping! We camped behind a gas station on the lawn of the community center. It turned out to be quite cozy even though we were a little nervous.
