Day 15 - Jenner to Manchester
60 miles

We started the day early with coffee and pastries on the dock of the visitor center in Jenner. It was hard to get on the bikes in the cold morning, but a good climb into Fort Ross warmed us up and got us going.

We had lunch in Gualala and shopped at a real grocery store for the first time in a while. After lunch the weather turned windy and cold. We got to Manchester Beach State Park, ready for a hot shower, only to find a desolate and showerless campground. Luckily, right next door, there was a nice KOA campground. We lived in luxury for a night with hot clean showers (that don’t need to be fed quarters), a jacuzzi, laundry facilities, electric stoves, a camp store with cold beer, and internet access!
