The Oregon Coast Rocks!
Today was awesome. Every turn in the road offered spectacular scenery. We traveled from Port Orford to Brookings. We've worked out a good rotation between car and bike. Today I drove first and parked the car at Gold Beach, jumped on my bike and rode back until I met Jean. We continued on together until Gold Beach. Jean drove on from there to Brookings and rode back to meet me. Using this system we've both been getting from 45-55 miles a day. Tonight we're camped at Harris Beach State Park. I'm so glad the rain has stopped and we can get back to camping. After dinner we took a short hike down to the beach. There are large haystacks scattered up and down the sand. Tomorrow we're going down to try some black & white photography of the beach. We're both Ansel Adam wanna bees. Then it's on to Crescent City where we'll spend the night with Jean's relatives. It would be great if Woman Tours did this trip in 2013!
